Do you not have enough time to spend 2 full days in class but need First Aid Training?

posted by Victory Safety    |   September 4, 2015 10:38

Consider taking a blended first aid program rather than the regular first aid. With the blended first aid training program you only have to spend 1 day in class but only after you completed the online training portion of the program. So put simply how it works is you contact Victory Safety and Training and we'll set you up with a course PIN number and a course manual, then on your own schedule complete the online section (theory portion of program)at home or work and take the in class portion (practical portion of program) on any of our scheduled blended first aid training days which can be seen on this link.

WHMIS Training (with intro to GHS)

posted by Victory Safety    |   August 14, 2015 09:22

WHMIS stands for Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, however WHMIS as we have known it is changing to conform to the GHS (Globally Harmonized System) and our in class WHMIS program now incorporates an intro to GHS. People often ask whats the difference between online and in class WHMIS courses? The answer to that is, it depends on the online program as well as the in class instructor. If you just need very basic information for simple workplace scenarios then an online course may do just fine. We at Victory have an online option through our online course library, however, in Saskatchewan it is the employers responsibility to determine what is or isn't adequate and if you show up to many mine, construction, oil & gas sites etc. that online ticket may not be acceptable. We at Victory make sure our in class instructors have the knowledge necessary to give you the information you need to keep you safe as well as make our best effort to stay on top of site requirements. Our excellent online programs offer an excellent introductory to meet basic needs. Also remember, don't wait until something happens to get appropriate training because at that point its too late. Penalties and work site enforcement are at an all time high, not to punish you but to ensure you work safe and make it home to those you care about. Because at Victory
