First Aid Courses

  • Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR (Available with level A, C or HCP CPR in any scheduled program): Comprehensive two-day (14-16 hour) course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Exceeds competitors’ standards by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED. Course includes ,Preparing to respond, the EMS system, check, Call, Care, airway emergencies, breathing and circulation emergencies, first aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest, wound care, head and spine injuries, bone, muscle and joint injuries, sudden medical emergencies, environmental emergencies, poisons. Wallet certificate will issued upon successful completion (75%) of written exam which is valid for 3 years.

    Recertification - A 1 day (6-9 hour) course is available to recertify if student can present verification of valid certification.

    This program is also available in a BLENDED LEARNING option which means you can get a Standard First Aid certificate and only have to come to class for 1 DAY. How do you do this? SIMPLE just call our office to obtain a course access PIN, we will send you a course manual and you can complete the theoretical portion of the program online prior to attending the 1 day in class.
  • Red Cross Emergency First Aid and CPR (Available with level A, C or HCP CPR): Basic one-day course offering an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets OHS regulations for Basic First Aid. Exceeds competitors’ standards by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED. Course includes; Preparing to respond, the EMS system, check, Call, Care, airway emergencies, breathing and circulation emergencies, first aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest, wound care. Wallet certificate will issued upon successful completion (75%) of written exam which is valid for 3 years.

  • Babysitting: Duration: 8 hours. Flexible scheduling options. Basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth 11–15 years old. Participants learn how to provide care to younger children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. Course also offers youth the training to promote themselves as a babysitter to prospective parents.
