Qualitative Fit testing

This fit test is used primarily for cartridge operated/air purifying respirators not supplied air devices. It is a manual test relying on sense of smell to detect the presence of an odorized agent (we primarily use a bitrix solution). This test can be conducted for individuals or groups at our site or yours. Call for more details.

Drug and Alcohol Testing

As safety awareness in Saskatchewan increases so does the awareness of the contribution drug and alcohol may have in work related incidents. Alcohol screening is most commonly done through urine sampling but is also available through swab, hair testing or saliva. Appointments can be made daily at our Saskatoon office (suggested between 10am and 2pm) or we can come to your site for group testing. Whether you require personal, random, pre access or post incident drug and alcohol screening we can help in a timely, accurate, cost effective manner.

Pre-Employment and Pre Access
Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is a very useful tool in establishing a safe work environment. By testing people after you have made an offer of employment but before the person begins working, you can reduce the risk of hiring individuals who may pose a heightened safety risk to themselves and others in safety-sensitive work environments.

Random
Random drug and alcohol program can help employers to reduce the frequency of incidents, promote a culture of safety in the workplace, and facilitate treatment for workers who may be suffering from substance abuse. Random selections must be generated by a computer program using algorithm to ensure each pull is kept completely random, reliable, and accurate.

Post-Accident/Incident
Must be performed following an accident causing loss of life/lives, or a citation was issued, fatality taken to the hospital, or where vehicles involved in the accident require towing. Alcohol test must be performed within 8 hours and drug test must be performed within 32 hours if not immediately possible.
